Hi friends and family! It's a crazy world, these days. And it makes us all the more grateful for the wonderful people in our lives who remind us, all the time, of the goodness of humanity. We've packed in a lot in these past months - harvesting our neighbor's apples and making cider in our new backyard. We were excited to do this although the timeline was unexpected since they ripened in August - so we had to act quickly! We've also been exploring the playgrounds of Olympia, there is one in particular that has a structure that's perfectly sized for Elliott, so it's been fun to take him there. Morgan and his dad went on a whirlwind road trip to California to surprise his sister Claire for her 40th birthday! I had my own adventure heading up to Sequim to see friends there, but sadly I did not take a single picture - but it was a wonderful time! We had visits from Auntie Claire, T-Ma and Bubbie, and then we all went to Oregon to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Super Bean Yoder - aka Cameron! Welcome, little cousin! We can't wait to meet you.
This has been a sad time for my dad, Roger, whose kitty Peter Max passed away after a long life of sitting in my dad's lap, drinking the extra milk out of his cereal bowl, and generally being a very sweet cat to all who knew him.
Elliott going down the slide - this kid loves it!
Cider sweatshop - er I mean workshop in the backyard - Morgan put the grinder he made last year to good use! Jay and Jen, we couldn't have done it without your help!
Racking the cider after the 1st fermentation - and following the Joy of Homebrewing's advice of always having a glass of homebrew on hand when doing any brewing activity.

This kid just wants to ride his bike so badly! He is desperate to keep up with Melina. He points at it and says "Bi! Bi! Bi!"
