Anniversary, hematocrit, visits and our first road trip

First of all, happiest of anniversaries to my sweetheart and best  friend Morgan! Here's to 4 years of marriage, 12 (!!) years of being together and many more to come. 

And now for some amazing news!! This past week, for the first time in her life, Melina's red blood cells increased!! By two percentage points, but we will take it! This means she is well on her way! And, little miss Melina is now 10.5 pounds and, according to her two month checkup is doing great! We had the pleasure of seeing one of the pediatricians who got to know her in her very first minutes of life. 

She is doing all kinds of wonderful things these days, like smiling a lot and watching everyone and everything around her. 

Misha reminds me that she in fact is also very cute.

Melina and I decided to throw caution to the wind and drive to Amity, OR to celebrate Aunt Barb and Uncle Rob's marriage at their beautiful home - the drive down was pretty brutal for all concerned but it was so worth it to introduce Melina to her loving family!

A tribute to my own childhood where I think I wore nothing but oshkosh bgosh overalls. And, my mom was convinced that boy's clothing was made better than girls so I too wore lots of blue stripes.
