Oh my goodness we have a lot of catching up to do! We traveled to Ohio and had a wonderful Christmas in Yellow Springs. Melina was such a champion for the many many plane trips (thank you thank you Kristi for lending us the inflatable boppy!) despite the fact that we discovered (on the plane to Ohio!) that avocado in fact doesn't agree with her AT ALL. :-) While we were in Ohio, Melina saw her first snow, had her first head bonk, and first bloody finger after some overzealous nail clipping. She also got to meet and snuggle with lots of new friends. She's still not super keen on the solid food - she makes most hilarious faces! But, we see evidence that in fact some of it is getting down so I suppose that is progress. She's been "on the verge" on crawling now for a couple of months! Stay tuned for some video of wiggling determinedly across the floor in hot pursuit of enticing objects. She seems to be convinced that downward dog is part of the crawling process, so she gets a good workout every time she tries.
We've been having some chilly weather in Seattle so have been doing lots of good bundling.
Crawling time acrobatics!
Sporting a hair clip!
Yuck face!
On the plane to Ohio - this was the warmest plane I've ever been on. I had been so worried that she would be COLD (since planes can also be really cold!) but here we were shedding layers. This is also when we were in the thick of her bad reaction to the avocado (and discovering that not all planes have changing tables in the lavatories).
More yuck face...
