We didn't realize that this is what we needed to start the collective exhale that has been coming for months! Below is proof from the doctor at her last visit to Childrens.
It's also been a busy month! We've finally had some more classically Seattle weather, and have been using our lovely natural gas fireplace, much to Misha and Melina's delight.
Glowing ears!
At the zoo with Katie, Jameal and Avele.
A visit from Auntie Buzzy! Thank you Hurricane Sandy for giving her to us for longer!
Visiting the Dale Chihuly museum
It was a bit of a rainy day.
Chilling with Papa.
Enjoying her Bubby!
Strong girl!
Misha's new favorite game.
All bundled up.
She has discovered her feet!!
It's very exciting.
They don't always taste good.
Ladybugs from Auntie Cynthia!
For halloween, we dressed up as Team Zissou from the Life Aquatic.
At the Seattle Aquarium! I think the tropical fish were her favorite.
But I tried to convince her to love the temperate critters too.
Visiting Pete and Melissa!!
After two days at the Western Society of Naturalists Conference, we were all ready for some fresh air. It was heavenly to be back in the rocky intertidal, giving Melina her first taste of Monterey.
It turns out being pregnant and having a baby make latin names come to mind much much more slowly.
Scrutinizing with Auntie Melissa.
We love the intertidal!!
This was very interesting - there were lots of washed up Humboldt squid. Many were still alive. One of them was repeatedly trying to get out of the water. I wish I had taken a video of it. This is a man we ran into holding two of them.
Be free, little squid.
They were in pretty rough shape.
One last tummy time before the plane ride home.
Tis the season of dried corn! Grandpa sent us a big box of it well in time for Thanksgiving.
